Rick Turner, Facilities Project Manager
I am happy to provide you with a letter describing the benefits I have
seen by using the Opti-Frame. As you know, I have been a Project Manager
in the semiconductor industry for more than 18 years, working in Silicon
Valley and Asia Pacific regions. In that time, I have been responsible
for delivering several state of the art clean room facilities rated
at class 100, 10, 1 & sub-micron performance levels.
Unfortunately in that
time, air filtration has been a persistent problem in terms of on-going
performance. Leaks do occur overtime, largely because of ambient conditions
and poor filter frame design on the A/C units. This problem over time
can affect building uptime. The Opti-Frame has provided
a great alternative. This frame system can be integrated to almost any
application. The Opti-Frame dramatically improves performance.
Results have confirmed
to me, the Opti-Frame reduces the amount and size of particles introduced
into the buildings air stream and can extend the life of other more
expense filters installed downstream. For facilities, which require
environmental control for particles, Opti-Frame is a great start. The
proof is in the results. I recommend it to anyone
who requires critically controlled environments. Test it yourself.

Gary Shamahoian, Senior Mechanical Engineer
There are several
reasons why we have an engineering preference for the Total Filtration
Mfg. Filter Framing System, but the main reason is superior performance.
The TFM frame prevents
air from bypassing the filters because it is built with no leakage points.
Most other frames have inherent leakage areas between filter sections,
the filter and frame, and through the filter hole clips. The TFM Opti-Frame
has permanently mounted filter clips that do not allow a path for air
to leak through. Also, the positive acting filter clips hold the filters
tightly against the gasket, which eliminates this as a leakage point.
The filter gasket is configured to be replaced along with the filter
so gasket degradation is not an issue.
The zero bypass
is further supported by the strength of the TFM frame. It is made of
extruded aluminum with 4" wide stiffeners for no deflection even with
fully loaded filters.
We have a marine atmosphere
so we need non-corrosive finishes such as the Powder-coated aluminum
of the TFM frame (even stainless steel 304 will corrode in our coastal
fog). And in addition, the TFM frame is made to accept standard filter
in a 2'x 2' or a 2'x 1' size so our filter purchasing choices are not
limited.

Robert Cartelli, Chief Engineer
For the past 10 years
I worked for ABME at Applied Materials as Chief Engineer. During this
time, I installed and tested Total Filtration's framing system with
excellent results. We began our testing at B-2 by cleaning the air handler
and coils for the two test systems we had chosen. After initial test
we determined that the Total Filtration system would protect our Hepa
filters. Before making a commitment to Total Filtration, we weighed
the costs and benefits and found the system to be an excellent value.
In ten years of running the system we have not had to clean the coils
on any of these units. This protection provided great cost savings over
time and proved that they were indeed the right choice for our
operations. |
